Life at the beach...

WOW!!! I had so much fun at the beach with my family.I did absolutely NOTHING.....We were on the beach every morning around 9, and we would hang out all day (yes, Kathi I did use sunscreen)........in the evening we would sit around the pool while the kids swam...we took walks on the beach, made sand castles, looked for seashells, shopped, and ate, and ate, and ate....You guys will be so proud of me....I rode the waves in the ocean! Can you believe it? By Saturday I was a pro, and I even went in the water without David....check out the pics....

Meyer Center Graduation

Wednesday, June 6 was graduation day for some kids at the Meyer Center. They all were so adorable in their caps and gowns. My wish for each one is that they will succeed in life, and have the courage to keep going to reach their dreams.

Beach Bound!!

Hey all.....I will be away for a few days....I am BEACH BOUND tomorrow. I will have lots of pics and stories when I get back next week.

Fun in the sun...

We recently went to the lake with some friends.....Dave, Kathi, Andrea, Rachael, and "some" of our kids.
I have a huge fear of "lake" water...I am trying to overcome this with a little help from my friends....so here I am on this float in the middle of NOWHERE! Water is all around me....Andrea and I are just cruising very slow (thank you Andrea for going "grandma" speed).....life is good. Hey....this is not so bad...lets speed up a little....ok still good....thumbs up to go faster.....now I'm gonna blow their minds...I get on my knees (are you kidding me? have I lost my ever loving mind?!)....now Andrea gets on her knees.....we were too close to the front of the float and we start to nose-dive...all of a sudden we are gracefully sliding off the float into the water!!!OMGosh......I just knew that "something" was going to get me as I dangled in the water.....and I was right! Just as I hit the water, my very sweet husband dove in (without a life jacket...dummy) to rescue me. He knows my fear of water and he was worried...I love him....now on the other side of the float, also dangling in the water was Andrea,who was laughing hysterically......anyway..I survived, climbed back on the float and was ready to go again.
NOW......the wild ones (Kathi, Andrea, & Rachael) feel the need for speed...so they rode the waves and bounced around like rag dolls. I had so much fun just watching them!

JP's COMING HOME........YEAH!!!!

Congratulations to my friend Andrea and her husband Scott. They will travel to Guetemala later this month to bring their new son, Joseph Pablo (also known as JP) home. This has been a year long journey for them, but now FINALLY, the adoption is final. I can't wait to meet this precious little boy. Lets continue to pray for them as they make the final steps.
